Welcome to the Stratofortress Shrine, a site dedicated to the B-52 Stratofortress. Since 1952, the United States Air Force has utilized one of the most venerable and variable heavy aircraft in the world. Today, the B-52H is the workhorse of the Air Combat Command bomber fleet, and though it is generally considered a cruise missile platform, it can be readied in 15 minutes for the role for which it was designed: strategic nuclear capability.
